Bridge Course VS IT Course

Two best friends, Shyam and Ganesh, took their SEE exams together. It was not the first exam they had given together; they have been friends since class 1, and it was one of their many exams. After the SEE exams, both friends decided to go to Kathmandu and prepare for their higher studies. They took the same bus and ended up in the same hostel. After a few days of traveling and relaxing, they finally decided it was time for them to study and utilize their time.

What should they learn? It was a major question for them, so they attended a career counselling session. Shyam was captivated by the idea of taking a bridge course. The success stories of students further fueled his determination, but Ganesh wasn’t as impressed. He countered, saying, “ If I’m going to learn the same thing again, why learn it for just one exam?”.Puzzled, Ganesh had no idea what to do, as his friend had already joined the classes and was preparing for his entrance. One day, on his way back to the hostel, he saw a poster advertising a two-month AI course. Intrigued by the advertisement, he visited the institute the next day to inquire. He was stunned to find out that many students like him were learning web development, game development, graphics design, and many more. He, too, joined the AI class as it resonated with his aspirations. Ganesh had always wanted to learn something like this, and it was a paradise for him.

Both friends studied wholeheartedly- one prepared for his entrance, whereas the other kept learning more about AI. As the entrance exam approached, both had completed their respective courses. Ganesh revised his class 9/10 concepts and took a little help from Shyam. They took their entrance and, as expected, Shyam got more marks than Ganesh and earned a scholarship. Even though Ganesh didn’t earn a scholarship, he ranked well and got into the same college. But the skills Ganesh learned at that time finally differentiated him as one of the brightest students. He represented his college in hackathons and programming competitions and emerged victorious. He was also popular among his classmates, thanks to his knowledge of AI. later on, after high school, Ganesh kept refining his knowledge and kept on learning more and more.

Thanks to the 2 months course he took during the vacations kept him ahead of most of the students, whereas the time Shyam spent on the bridge course only helped him with one examination, whereas the skill Ganesh learned helped him with all the examinations and opportunities he was offered.

Now, the choice is yours- do you want to be like Ganesh or like Shyam? Decide today.
